What sort of things are typically covered in a Silent Sales mentoring plan?

Every plan is different and tailored to you but we help guide you through the process. The items below are by no means exhaustive but are designed to give you a flavour of the types of things we might cover. But at the end of the day this is your plan and things can change commercially so we remain agile to your short, medium and long term goals.

You and your purpose.

Without this it is very hard to know where we’re heading and equally impossible to celebrate when we get there. We’ll help you to definitively define your purpose (and give you the tools to do the same with your team if you have one). We’ll also define and work together on the key activities which will help you achieve success.

Barriers.

We often help my clients to understand the barriers (or hurdles if you prefer) to their own success. This is where an outside perspective is vital as it is often hard to “see the wood for the trees” when you’re immersed in your day to day challenges. This helps us to define and continually review your action plan. Some of them will be clearer than you might think whilst we’ll have to “deep dive” to unearth others. But we’ll get there.

Metrics.

Not everyone has a robust and mature suite of sales or commercial metrics. If you do, then great and this might form part of our meetings as we can help you with spotting trends and to dive into the details. If you don’t, we can help you develop this vital tool to help you understand the facts and manage your reports if you have any.

Situational mentoring.

Situations will arise, often unexpectedly and having me on hand will provide you with a sounding board and suggestions on the best tactical approach. You might have no idea how to deal with a certain commercial situation or you might have a strategy but need to run it by someone who you know will give you honest and constructive feedback. It is also possible that your boss isn’t the most approachable or skilled in your field so can’t add the value you require - that’s where we can help.

Sales skills.

This always forms part of the plan - whether it be for you or your sales team reports. Whether you’re as green as Kermit the Frog when it comes to sales or if you have 20 years experience, we can add significant value here whether it be fundamental skills or more advanced strategy and tactics. These don’t have to be formalised training sessions and can be woven into our Zoom meetings to suit the circumstances.

Sales Process.

The best sales people and sales leaders have the best sales processes. And the elite amongst them have the most simple and easy to follow. We can help you devise a process from scratch, audit and develop your existing methods and help you ensure it is bedded into your company so that you and others follow it to help reduce waste and improve efficiency. And we’ll even make sure it isn’t as boring as we’ve just made it sound.

Letting off steam.

Having sales responsibilities can be stressful and often having a confident in your company just isn’t an option. Or perhaps you are the company or you’re the top of the tree. So you can vent your frustrations with us and we’ll be sure to make the session as fun as possible and constructive so you can turn your frustrations into actions.

Strategic Sales Mentoring.

Whether you’re tasked with Implementing, challenging or writing a sales or commercial strategy, having a commercially aware and experienced mentor can prove invaluable. Your goals, time management and efforts will all be linked to both your sales and marketing and your business strategy and we will help you ensure that your strategy is sound and that you stay focused.

Actions.

We will have a live, shared and managed action plan. You’ll hold us accountable and we’ll do the same for you. This way it is crystal clear what we’re achieving together, helping to keep you on track and you can feel good about your progress.

Silent Sales Mentoring FAQs

Who will my mentor be?

You will only ever deal with Simon Lunt, Owner of Silent Sales. Your mentoring will never be outsourced. You can learn more about Simon’s  background and credentials here and he’d welcome an informal, no obligation chat.

How quickly will my phone call be dealt with?

If Simon’s free then straight away. But if you leave a message he’ll call you back as soon as possible - usually on the same day and no later than the next working day.

How much are your plans?

We don’t publish my prices. We’re transparent with our clients but our competition have to work for their insight. Please contact us and we’ll send you a rate card today.

Do you mentor people outside the UK?

Absolutely - everyone is welcome. Simon has years of experience training, coaching and mentoring sales people in USA, Singapore, UAE, Australia, Malaysia, Italy, Ireland, Norway, Germany and all over Europe. (But Ihe only speaks English).

Which is the most popular plan?

Over 70% of our clients are on the Essentials Plan. They like the security of the weekly access to Simon where many take advantage of the fact that they can use his insight when trying to solve specific, time sensitive issues which might arise.

How are my Zoom minutes allocated?

However suits you. You can access Simon’s calendar availability and we can either book in the same slot or slots each month or work around your schedule. Most people prefer to have either one or two Zoom sessions per month.

What if I don’t know anything about sales?

We cater for complete beginners through to seasoned Sales Directors. Your mentoring support will be 100% tailored to you so there is no need to feel intimidated.

What if you’re on holiday?

We will provide you with plenty of notice if Simon has a holiday booked so we’ll be sure to plan in your monthly time.

Could I have a trial?

We would have a free 30 minute consultation to make sure we’re a good fit. You can then opt to pay monthly with a one month notice period - so you’re not tied in should your circumstances change. So essentially a trial is built in.

Can I change which plan I’m on during the term?

You can upgrade at any time. If your circumstances change and you’d like to downgrade your plan then you can do this on the month-to-month option after the initial three month period is completed. If you’ve paid for the annual plan then downgrading isn’t an option until the initial 12 month term is complete.

How quickly will I get a response to an email?

We aim to answer your email as soon as possible, ideally on the same day but certainly within one working day of receipt. If you can make the priority clear then that helps us know if something is particularly pressing.

What is the exclusive content?

We have a library of helpful flow charts, diagrams, instructions, videos and articles that we’ve created over the years and it is always being added to. Some of this content could prove relevant and useful as we work through your plan and will bolster our meetings and conversations and provide you with useful tools and reference material.

What if I’m sick?

If you can give us as much notice as possible we’ll be as flexible as possible. We’re here to support you.

Zoom isn’t good for me, can we conduct our sessions differently?

Sure. A few clients prefer Google Meet which is fine by us. If you have other preferred methods or would perhaps prefer face-to-face meetings then we’re flexible and we can make it work with a custom plan.

Is there a minimum term for the month to month option?

Yes, you’d commit to three months but then we’d run on a month-to-month basis where the notice period is only one month. You’d be invoiced monthly.

“As a marketer I am comfortable in my field but on starting my own business I needed confidence in how I approached sales. Simon’s sales and strategic mentoring is invaluable and I’d recommend it to anyone ”.
