Channel Management Training - The Blank Canvas Approach.

No role play. No shaming or intimidation. No acronyms. Creative training with guaranteed take away skills is our promise.

Who is the course aimed at?

Channel Management is a very niche sales skill and very different from direct sales. If you have a channel and direct sales model then you need a very clear strategy or you will spend a lot of time managing conflict between your internal sales team and with your sales channels.

This session is aimed to help anyone who is already using sales channels to market for their product or service and believes results can be better, or for those who are considering on-boarding sales channels such as distributors, agents, OEMs or online platforms but wants to ensure it is the right thing to do and if agreed, then how to make sure it works as well as possible.

So whether you are a micro business, SME or larger concern with a new, suspected or long established sales channel network you will benefit from this course.

How is the training delivered?

Usually the sessions are delivered in person but can be delivered over an online meeting platform such as Zoom and will be slightly adapted. The style is professional but informal and largely story-based and the mix is approximately 75% presentation and 25% delegate involvement. The session can also be delivered as 100% presentation if preferred.

What sort of things are covered in this training?

You can expect the following areas to be covered: -

  • Channel vs direct sales

  • Dealing with and understanding paranoia from your channels

  • The different types of sales channels

  • Due diligence in selecting channels

  • Mind share

  • What channels want

  • Territories and exclusivity

  • Channel contract basics

  • The blank canvas approach to channel management

  • Q&A and agreed actions

How long is this training session?

It can be tailored to suit your requirements and will slightly depend on the number of delegates but typically an in person session will take around 2 hours with a break - but it also depends on how many questions and involvement there is from the group.

What is required in the meeting room (where applicable)?

Ideally there would be a web connection and somewhere for a laptop to connect to a screen. If you don’t have this then we can discuss in advance and figure it out.

Is there a maximum number of delegates per session?

I’d suggest no more than 8 (unless you opt for a 100% presentation style for a keynote or Sales meeting session where there is no limit) as this means that everyone can get involved and get the most out of the session. But equally, the session can be delivered one on one.

Is it certified?

Attendees will be issued with a certificate of attendance by email after the event which is valid for 3 years. There is no “pass or fail” but the style of Silent Sales training is to check delegates understanding throughout the sessions. Each delegate will also get a follow up call from Silent Sales on their commitment to trying out their techniques.

What is the price?

I don’t publish this online (my competitors need to work harder than that!) but I have a rate card I can send you on request.
